Estate Summer Event. Saturday 2nd August.
Despite the weather, this years event was a great success. All thanks to the committee who worked so hard over the last eight months to organise the day and who worked throughout the event ensuring that all things went smoothly.
It was wonderful to see so many people turning up to enjoy both the day and evening and the ABBA tribute band were superb.
Many people helped on the day and many people participated in the various competitions helping to promote a day of great atmosphere. The sights and smells of the early evening BBQ's was something to behold! Our grateful thanks to the Ridley family for supporting the day and allowing us to use the south lawn, it was spectacular.
I intend putting together an album for the day and any photos or comments would be welcomed and can be e-mailed to me. If anyone would like to help with future events on the estate, please drop me an e mail or give me a call.

This event was a great success for Macmillan cancer Support and indications are that they will have raised over £7,000. Click here to see more images of the day.
Well done to Michelle, how worked tirelessly to make this event a success, and thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the day.

Shotton Surface Mine

Work has started at Shotton as many of you will have seen. The planning for the land form sculpture, "Northumberlandia" is ongoing and we are in discussion with various interested parties. This is an exciting opportunity to provide an interesting landmark for the area and we will try and keep everyone informed of progress.
