Summer Event.
What a fantastic day, glorious weather ( mostly) and a great turn out. Once again enormous thanks go to the tenants organising committee who gave up their time both on the day and for several months beforehand to make this event happen. Thanks go to the Ridley family who once again allowed us to intrude on their privacy and make a great deal of noise, but hopefully not too much mess.

Remember if you have suggestions for future events, do not keep them to your self, e mail or speak to me.

Macmillan Charity Day Sunday 12th July
A fantastic day was had on the estate on the 12th July, an open day in support of Macmillan Cancer support. This is possibly the biggest openday that Blagdon has hosted and included a classic car display, food stalls, childrens entertainment, clay pigeon shooting and fly casting demonstartion.

Congratulations to the organisers and thanks to the estate residents who had to put up with this amount of visitors, but I am sure that this event will have raised significant funds for this worthy charity

It was wonderful to welcome the Ridey special back home from Brooklands and the car took pride of place in front of Blagdon Hall attracting much interest from our visitors.

Click poster for photographs of the day.

Future Events.
We hope to organise more events in the future, and are talikng about a Bonfire Night, and a Children's Halloween event. If you would like to help please get in touch, all we ask is that some people give a little of their time to these events which make them work for lots of people, it does not take a lot to help but can make the difference between a good and a poor event. If you would like to help, or if you would like to be part of our e mail list for information on future events, please send me an e mail, rjdowner@blagdonestate.co.uk, I would also welcome any ideas for future events, or any comments on the estate in general. Don't be shy, help me to help you!

New Tenants.
We welcome the Neville family onto the estate, who are moving into Jubilee House in the Village. Mark and Jacquline, join other members of the clan already part of the Blagdon Community and I am I sure that they will be come enthusiastic supporters of our social activities.

Northumberlandia.
You may have seen the press coverage of the Northumberlandia launch at the start of July. I have updated the web page with the latest information. Northumberlandia is shaping up to be a major project produced by Banks and Blagdon for the benefit of the region. We are very excited about the potential that this project promises and we are sure that we will all be very proud when the park is opened to the public, which is scheduled for 2012.
