Easter Egg Trail.
What a fantastic day! Many thanks to all who helped, this event could not have happened without the hard work of the events committee and the helpers on the day. The weather was fine and the children and adults had a great time trying to work out Marilyns excellent clues, It was wonderful to see so many people coming along to enjoy the activities and the estate.

Summer Event.
Getting close now, thank you to all who have responded, your tickets and programme will be sent out shortly. We are all looking forward to the day and to meeting everyone again. Hopefully this year will be as good as the last two years, we have some new attractions and ideas and hope that these will make the day enjoyable and a little different. This year we are hoping that people will mix and introduce themselves to each other, we hope that people will make use of the games equipment which will be provided to organise their own games and family challenges. Look out for the wandering cartoonist and the fortune teller!

Red Cross Open Gardens
Red Cross day this year is the best we have had for years, the organisation and people who helped on the day made this both the best organised and raised the most money for the Red Cross in all the time I have been involved. It was wonderful to see so many Blagdon tenants and friends helping on the day and I cannot thank them all enough. A special thank you goes to Lizzie Evans and Michael leslie who organised the day and were instrumental in coping with the large number of visitors that we had thais year. We are looking forward to future events which have become real "Blagdon Days". Not only did everyone give up their time gladly, they all enjoyed helping which was particularly gratiifying, to be able to have an enjoyable day while helping worthy causes is a great situation.

Future Events.
We hope to organise more events in the future, and are talikng about a Bonfire Night, and a Children's Halloween event. If you would like to help please get in touch, all we ask is that some people give a little of their time to these events which make them work for lots of people, it does not take a lot to help but can make the difference between a good and a poor event. If you would like to help, or if you would like to be part of our e mail list for information on future events, please send me an e mail, rjdowner@blagdonestate.co.uk, I would also welcome any ideas for future events, or any comments on the estate in general. Don't be shy, help me to help you!

Tenant Repairs.
We have had a recent incident on the estate where a tenant did not follow the rules and carried out work on their property that created a serious health and safety risk. Please remeber that any structural, plumbing and electrical work should not be carried out without written permission. While we are very happy for people to feel at home, and make improvements to their properties, you must not carry out work which may be a detriment to the property or which may put you or others at risk. As a general rule you should always aske the estate office before undertaking any work on one of our properties.
