DON CLARKE
It is with regret that we have to announce that Don Clarke of Stable House has died recently in hospital. Don had been a tenant of Blagdon Estate for over seven years and our condolances go out to his family.

NEW TENANTS
I would like to extend a welcome to Mrs K Brown who is shortly moving in to No 2 Seven Mile House Cottage, and Mr D. Hay who is moving in to No 3 Seven Mile House Cottage. Mrs Brown works in the Blagdon Farm Shop, she currently travels from Sunderland, I am sure that the shorter commuting distance will make a huge difference to her lifestyle. Mr Hay is looking forward to developing his gardening skills, I hope that they will both be very happy at Blagdon

HORTON PARK
Our development has once again been nominated for more awards. On the 6th September we have been shortlisted for the Hadrian Awards at the Civic Centre in Newcastle (www.hadrianawards.com), and on the 19th October we are shortlisted for the national RICS Awards ( see http://www.rics.org/AboutRICS/Awards/RICSAwards/RICSRegenerationAward/RICS%20Awards%20shortlist%20regeneration.html) which take place at the Dorchester in London.

SURFACE MINE

The South Drive is now closed to allow coal extraction; the North Drive is open through the day for cars only please. Please take care if using the North Drive as it is narrow and rather wooded, so please keep your speed down!
