Open Gardens on behalf of the British Red Cross.

Blagdon was the first garden to open in 1930 and since then the scheme has spread to all corners of the country with garden owners opening their gardens and raising funds for the Red Cross.

Sunday 23rd April 2017. 12.00 til 4.30pm

Blagdon has held open gardens ever since and it has become a tradition that Blagdon opens each season with its spring Open Gardens Event. In recent years this event has been entirely run by the Blagdon tenants with additional attractions to welcome visitors to the estate.

We hope to have attractions including dancers, a plant stall, stick dressing exhibition, pony rides, tractor and trailer rides, tombola and raffle, as well as the usual refreshments and home baking. We have started doing "Tea for Two" which includdes both cakes and sandwiches.

Come along for a great day out, remember, this event is entirely organised and run by unpaid volunteers from people who live and work on the estate and all expenses are covered by the Ridley family so 100% of all takings go directly to the Red Cross.
