Iron Bridge Closure
The Iron Bridge which links the Estate Office and the Home Farm remains closed for refurbishment. All access to the Estate Office, Blagdon Hall and surrounding properties will be via the North Drive.
The Iron Bridge was built in the mid 1800's and the steel decking is showing signs of corrosion. the deck will be removed, repaired, waterproofed and replaced during the refurbishment. Work is well underway and we hope to start reconstruction of the roadway very soon.
I apologise for the inconvenience but this work is essential to maintain the structural capacity of this structure. click HERE for more information

Open gardens: Sunday 23rd October.

Thank you to all who helped with the open day, and to all who attended. Once again the support by Blagdon tenants was magnificent and organisation was second to none. An impressive £1285 was raised which has been passed on to Macmillan Cancer support. On behalf of the Ridley family thank you to you all.

Halloween Party Saturday 29th October.
Many thanks to all who helped and all who attended the Halloween party. It was wonderful to see so many people and the children as always were very impressively costumed and helped to add to the overall atmosphere. Click on adjacent image.

Northumberlandia.
Northumberlandia is shaping up to be a major project produced by Banks and Blagdon for the benefit of the region. We are very excited about the potential that this project promises and we are sure that we will all be very proud when the park is opened to the public, we now hope to open the park late 2012, the majority of the structure is now formed and the paths and hard landscaping should be completed when works can re commence in the Spring.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions about Northumberlandia, please speak to me and I will pass your comments to the design team and advisory panel.
